During the days of the Roman Empire, clients and the girls working in the brothels very often didn't speak the same language, so the client would buy a token which had a carving of the service he wanted. He could then show it to his chosen girl : no confusion and everyone's happy !
This particular token was donated for moulding by a metal detectorist. Token diameter 20mm.
