These King Alfred (AELFREDRE) the Great, silver penny cufflinks have survived with remarkable detail. They were minted between 871 - 899 AD and show the monogram of London (LVNDONIA) on the reverse.They measure 21mm in diameter and an alternative version showing the London monogram as the front is available (HJR 460b). They are also available as special orders in 9ct and 18ct gold.
