Anglo Saxon Bamburgh Beast Pendant. The bronze original was inlaid with silver and was excavated at Bamburgh Castle. The beasts are a small part of the intricate entwined design on a Saxon Strap End. 9th century AD. Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland. Height 44mm.
