Description
c. 160 – 240 AD. The gold original is a disc with chased decoration around the edge and a green glass stone set in the centre. An ear wire was attached at the top and a twisted wire below, indicating a similar ornament (not found but created to complete the style of the period). The original was found in the hearth of a civilian house at Vindolanda, Northumberland. Height 30mm
